Comment:  It was only a matter of time for something like this to happen in our country.  Though it is far too early to know who, what and why.  We do know that not much information will be released during this ongoing intensive investigation.  We also feel that a lot of speculation will occur.  I myself have questions as we all do.  One of the first questions that went through my mind:

Does North Korea have something to do with this? 

When you take into consideration recent threats and past history, this is a fair question.  We are talking about a country that kidnapped Japanese citizens, movie directors, actors, actresses.  Don't forget that they fired a torpedo and sunk a South Korean Warship.  (I have always wondered if it was Kim il Un who was on the sub and pushed the button?) 

Do I think that North Korea had something to do with this? 

No! 

But I do have lots of questions.  I am also sure that more information will be released in the near future as well.  When something like this happens, our country will throw all available resources at this situation.  So it is only a matter of time!

Comment:  On 01/25/13, I posted a headline that:  U.S. homeland chief: cyber 9/11 could happen "imminently"  With the comment that,  "I am so tired of these constant warnings from our government."  So just a few days later they announce a five fold increase in cyber-security that will have the capability to attack other countries.  If our systems are so vulnerable to attack, why are they not taken off the Internet?

Why doesn't our Government have a special high security Internet that only critical systems are connected too and which is completely separate from the public Internet.  (Yes, I know, they already have that.)  There are a lot of questions and this whole program stinks of fraud and deceit.  Something else is going on!

Comment: Israel and any country for that matter, has the right to defend themselves.  My concern is that should an attack occur on Iran, the United States will be brought to the breaking point.  The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have been a drain on our country of valuable resources.  Another war in the region could easily spiral out of control.  I don't feel that the Russians and Chinese would stand at the sidelines.  For example, would China use this situation to retake Taiwan?  Would Russian forces invade from the north?  Would this fuel and unite radicals?

Comment:  The real danger is that North Korea might actually have a successful nuclear explosion.  (There are doubts about past test explosions.) 

The next issue is that the West does not have reliable intelligence about North Korea's progress with developing smaller war heads that can fit on their scud missiles.  All they would need is for a missile that can carry a small nuclear warhead 50 to 100 miles.  They don't even need missiles because nuclear warheads can be delivered by boat or submarine!

All that has to be done is for the North Koreans to put a nuclear bomb on a fishing boat and allow the South Koreans to confiscate it and take it to a city or military base.  Do you really think the South Koreans would take geiger count

How Israel might strike at Iran

... we just can't make enough firearms!


The following  is a report and commentary that reflects my opinion. 

Please keep in mind that The Ravens Project - Ravens Watch will not force our opinions on you or present our opinions as facts.  If I post a comment, the reader will know that it is a comment.  If I post an opinion, the reader will be notified that it is an opinion.  Very few websites, if any, will do this for their visitors and members!

The report is as follows:

At the recent NSSF Shot Show in Las Vegas which had the highest dealer attendance on record, there was one obvious recurring theme from every manufacture in attendance.  They can not make enough firearms fast enough to keep up with demand!

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms has recorded record breaking background/NICS checks as well as record Conceal Carry/CCW permit applications.

Record breaking sales for ammo and firearms are also occurring that are exceeding all records since 2003.  People are afraid of what will happen with the coming 2012 elections. 

With the exception of cities and states that have very restrictive gun laws, the FBI has been recording a decrease in violent crimes.  We are safer now than we have ever been! 

My opinion is as follows:

This decrease in crime has been going on while gun laws have been relaxed.  This casts in doubt many of the anti-gun groups claims and fears! 

It is felt that if Democrats gain power, restrictive gun laws will soon follow.  The fear then is that violent crime would increase.  The main concern still comes down to the 2nd Amendment and the Right to Bear arms being lost or restricted by a minority of anti-gun groups. 

With over 200 million firearms in this country, the anti-gun groups never focuses on the fact that 99.999% of those firearms are never used in a crime!

(It is estimated that with military and law enforcement firearms included with civilian firearms... the best guest estimate that there are over 350 million firearms in this country.  Again, 99.999% of these firearms are not used in crimes and are stored and used in a safe responsible manner!)

I have no doubt that we will see an increase in crime.  I also feel that we will see more restrictive gun laws passed.  I do not feel that passing laws will make us safe.  I do not feel that restricting our rights will make us safe.  I do not feel that suspending our rights will make us safe!

Iran 'test-fires medium-range missile' in Gulf

Comment:  Anytime there is 'Saber Rattling' then the risk of somebody screwing up and pushing the wrong button increase.  Most people don't understand that 'Future Conflicts' and 'Wars' will be connected to "Peak Oil" and "Empires Collapse!"  In fact, if you were to look over all of the subjects I have chosen for 'The Ravens Project - Ravens Watch' you would notice that the subjects are all connected to each other!

People complain about Gasoline being $3.29 in the United States, but they don't realize that is not the true price being paid by Americans.  It costs a lot of taxpayers money to keep the US Fifth Fleet in the Persian Gulf and that's not including the troops that we have over there. 

All of that costs money and they are doing it to keep the Oil flowing!
